When I started working with energy and body and emotional stuff, I wasn’t doing it because I wanted a method. I did it because something was calling me, I felt interested. And wanted answers, and healing, but wasnt unaware of it.
And then I realized, I want more.
When I was in university, I was living on my own in Moscow with friends, studying philosophy, learning Chinese, had a bit of money and a lot of support, feeling “on track.”
It looked good. And it felt good)
But, I was crying. I didn’t even know why.
I didn’t have the words. I couldn’t name what was wrong. I just felt… something missing.
Later, love came into my life.
Real love. Messy love. Alive love.
Then marriage.
Then children. Initiating this deep, unexpected transformation of my heart.
Along the way I studied a lot and I began holding space for others — and something huge started moving in me. I was being fulfilled in a way I never thought is important or needed or possible for me.
Our needs correlate with an energetic body.
All psychotherapy is a work of tuning in, identifying your real need and having skills to fulfill them. Energy work is a one more way to do it - intuitive, takes its own skillset.
And very powerful.
For example, your root is about safety.
Your sacral is about pleasure and flow.
Your solar plexus is about power and doing.
Your heart is love and trust.
Your throat — expression.
Your third eye — clarity, intuition.
Your crown — connection to spirit.
We have different energetic capacity in each center.
It’s not equal. It’s not fixed. And often, we don’t even know what we’re missing until we feel it, or what our true capacity and potential. AND - we can grow in that capacity, expand. Hold more energy, feel more love, exquisite pleasure, bigger projects or holding deeper and more profound spaces for others.
I thought I was okay with pleasure and aliveness, until I began to dance 3-4 h, 5 days a week. Deep in the movement, for almost a year. Hormones, energy, joy, ecstasy, life-force.
It wasn’t just pleasure — it was aliveness, it was waaaay more then I used to.
And I thought: “Wait… I didn’t even know this was possible. I didn’t know this was what my body had been missing. Seems like it's my new normal level”.
That triggered more deep and raw sexuality.
Same with my heart.
I thought I was kind of ascetic. I thought, “I don’t need that much closeness, I’m fine alone.”
But then came true connection ad relationships, marriage. Kids.
It grounded me. I stopped avoiding responsibility because the power of love was so big. I wanted to show up. And my whole system responded to that.
That was love as a power. That was energy flowing through my heart and out into the world.
I was learning words for that)
“I need to be seen.”
“I need to feel held.”
“I need to express my magic.”
“I need to feel powerful and sexual.”
“I need not just sex, but sex that is deep and soulful and alive.”
The Wheel of Balance – Energetic Edition
In coaching and personal development, there’s this idea of the “Wheel of Life” — like a pie chart showing how balanced your life is: career, relationships, money, health, etc.
But what I discovered through energy work is something even more powerful:
Each of your energy centers is like a petal or spoke in your energetic wheel.
And just like a physical wheel — if one part is underdeveloped, blocked, or collapsed… you don’t roll smoothly. You get stuck. You wobble. You struggle to move forward.
But when you start to awaken and expand each center…
When you build more capacity to feel, to give, to receive. Your energy field expands.
And your whole life begins to turn more smoothly.
That’s what this work is about.
It’s not just about activating chakras.
It’s about learning:
What does my body really need in this part of life?
What’s the flavor of fulfillment here for me?
What kind of love, pleasure, power, expression do I need to feel fully alive?
Because for some people, it’s intimacy with 2–3 close people. For others, it’s a huge circle.
Some need daily sensual movement. Others once a week.
Some want to speak and shine. Others want deep, quiet space to feel truth.
And you only discover it by feeling it.
You can’t think your way into that.
You have to tune in. And you can EXPAND and grow in it - untill you reach and meet your own fulfilling truth in it - yes, this is me, this is how it's supposed to be, it feels good!
It’s also about dreams, not just healing
When your mind sets a goal — like “I want to give concerts,” or “I want to be a therapist,” or “I want to be a millionaire” — that’s great. But that’s only one layer.
The real question is:
Does your energy field have the capacity to hold that?
Can your system receive that level of love, or visibility, or responsibility, or pleasure?
Can your nervous system regulate in that much intensity?
Can your body integrate that dream?
When you work through energy — and combine it with psychology, with body, with emotion — you begin to actually embody the life you dream of.
You stop just imagining.
You stop getting overwhelmed or blocked.
You start building capacity.
You start feeling the pull of the real dream.
And you follow that thread.
That’s when you become unstoppable.
Want to reflect on this?
Here are some journal prompts you can use today:
What part of my life looks good on the outside, but still feels like something is missing?
Where in my body do I feel most alive? Where do I feel disconnected?
When was the last time I felt a rush of energy or love that surprised me?
What might I need more of… even if I don’t have the words yet?
